'O Lakshmana! I am aware of the irresistible strength of lust born out of the body. I am aware of Sugriva's indifference to his duty due to his passion with whomsoever it be.
Unchecked kāma can overpower judgment and derail duty; dharma requires recognizing such bondage and correcting it without needless conflict.
Tārā explains Sugrīva’s delay as the result of sensual attachment, framing it as a human weakness to be managed so the alliance can proceed.
Psychological insight and pragmatic compassion—Tārā diagnoses the cause of failure while guiding a constructive response.
