Entry toward Viśālā and the Indra–Kṣīrodamathana Legend
evam uktas tato devair devadeveśvaraḥ prabhuḥ | prādurāsīt tato 'traiva śaṅkhacakradharo hariḥ ||
Thereupon, Hari the Lord of celestial beings extolled by the devatas appeared bearing the conch and discus.
Dharma is upheld through timely protection: when beings appeal rightly, the preserver responds to restore balance.
In response to the gods’ plea, Hari (Viṣṇu) manifests, identifiable by conch and discus.
Compassionate guardianship: the divine role of preserving the world when it faces destruction.
