Bharata’s Army Reaches Chitrakuta and Searches for Rama
स सम्प्रतस्थे धर्मात्मा प्रीतो दशरथात्मजः। वृतो महत्या नादिन्या सेनया चतुरङ्गया।।2.93.3।।
sa sampratasthē dharmātmā prīto daśarathātmajaḥ | vṛto mahatyā nādinyā senayā caturaṅgayā || 2.93.3 ||
تب دھرماتما دشرَتھ کا فرزند بھرَت خوشی سے روانہ ہوا، اور چار شعبوں والی عظیم، شور مچاتی فوج نے اسے گھیر رکھا تھا۔
Having heard these words acceptable to the pious, Bharata, the crusher of enemy forces, addressed the entire army:
Dharma is framed as purposeful action: Bharata moves forward as a dharmātmā, indicating that rightful duty is pursued with resolve, even amid political and military power.
Bharata begins his onward journey, accompanied by a large four-division army, as the story moves toward the meeting with Rāma.
Dharma-niṣṭhā (steadfast commitment to righteousness) paired with leadership—he proceeds decisively while bearing responsibility for a vast force.
