भरद्वाजाश्रमात् चित्रकूटमार्गनिर्देशः

यामिमां भगवन् दीनां शोकानशनकर्शिताम्। पितुर्हि महिषीं देवीं देवतामिव पश्यसि।।2.92.20।। एषा तं पुरषव्याघ्रं सिंहविक्रान्तगामिनम्। कौसल्या सुषुवे रामं धातारमदितिर्यथा।।2.92.21।।
yām imāṃ bhagavan dīnāṃ śokānaśana-karśitām | pituḥ hi mahiṣīṃ devīṃ devatām iva paśyasi || 2.92.20 ||
eṣā taṃ puruṣa-vyāghraṃ siṃha-vikrānta-gāminam | kausalyā suṣuve rāmaṃ dhātāram aditir yathā || 2.92.21 ||
“اے بھگون! جس ملکہ کو آپ یہاں دیکھ رہے ہیں، جو غم اور فاقہ کشی سے نڈھال و دکھی ہے اور دیوی کی مانند جلوہ گر ہے، وہ میرے پتا کی مہیشی، دیوی کوسلیا ہیں۔ یہی وہ ہیں جنہوں نے رام—مردوں کے شیردل، شیر کی سی چال والے—کو جنم دیا، جیسے ادیتی نے دھاتا کو جنا تھا۔”
O venerable sage, this queen you are looking at, forlorn and emaciated due to grief and fasting, and who resembles a goddess is Kausalya, the principal queen of my father. As Aditi bore Dhata, she bore Rama, the best among men who walks with the powerful stride of a lion.
