अयोध्याकाण्डे द्विषष्टितमः सर्गः

Kausalyā consoles Daśaratha; grief, remorse, and nightfall

प्रसीद शिरसा याचे भूमौ निपतितास्मि ते।याचितास्मि हता देव क्षन्तव्याऽहं न हि त्वया।।।।

prasīda śirasā yāce bhūmau nipatitāsmi te | yācitāsmi hatā deva kṣantavyāhaṃ na hi tvayā || 2.62.12 ||

مہربان ہو جائیے، اے میرے آقا! میں سر جھکا کر عرض کرتی ہوں؛ میں آپ کے سامنے زمین پر گر پڑی ہوں۔ مگر اے دیو! اس طرح گڑگڑانا ہی میرے لیے زخم ہے؛ میں وہ نہیں کہ آپ سے معافی کی محتاج ہوں۔
