ग्रामान् विकृष्टसीमान्तान् पुष्पितानि वनानि च।पश्यन्नतिययौ शीघ्रं शनैरिव हयोत्तमैः।।।।शृण्वन् वचो मनुष्याणां ग्रामसंवासवासिनाम्।
grāmān vikṛṣṭa-sīmāntān puṣpitāni vanāni ca | paśyann atiyayau śīghraṁ śanair iva hayottamaiḥ || śṛṇvan vaco manuṣyāṇāṁ grāma-saṁvāsa-vāsinām |
وہ اُن بستیوں کو دیکھتا ہوا آگے بڑھا جن کی سرحدی زمینیں تازہ جوتی گئی تھیں، اور کھلے پھولوں والے جنگلات کو بھی۔ گاؤں کی آبادیوں میں بسنے والے لوگوں کی باتیں سنتا ہوا، وہ اعلیٰ گھوڑوں پر تیزی سے چلا—مگر اسے یوں لگتا تھا گویا آہستہ آہستہ جا رہا ہو۔
