Lakshmana’s Counsel to the Enraged Rama
एकस्य नापराधेन लोकान् हन्तुं त्वमर्हसि।न तु जानामि कस्यायं भग्नस्साङ्ग्रामिको रथः।।।।केन वा कस्य वा हेतोस्सायुधस्सपरिच्छदः।
ekasya nāparādhena lokān hantuṃ tvam arhasi |
na tu jānāmi kasyāyaṃ bhagnaḥ sāṅgrāmiko rathaḥ ||
kena vā kasya vā hetoḥ sāyudhaḥ saparicchadaḥ |
ایک ہی شخص کے جرم کے سبب تمہیں جہانوں کو ہلاک کرنا مناسب نہیں۔ مگر میں نہیں جانتا یہ ٹوٹا ہوا جنگی رتھ کس کا ہے—جو اب بھی ہتھیاروں اور سازوسامان سے آراستہ ہے—اور کس نے، کس کے لیے، کس سبب سے اسے یوں توڑا۔
