पञ्चवटी-निर्देशः
Agastya Directs Rama to Panchavati
धन्योऽस्म्यनुगृहीतोऽस्मि यस्य मे मुनिपुङ्गवः।गुणैस्सभ्रातृभार्यस्य वरदः परितुष्यति।।।।
dhanyo ’smy anugṛhīto ’smi yasya me munipuṅgavaḥ | guṇaiḥ sa-bhrātṛ-bhāryasya varadaḥ parituṣyati ||
میں دھنی ہوں، مجھ پر کرپا ہوئی ہے—کہ وہ منیوں میں برتر، ور دینے والے مہارشی، میرے، میرے بھائی اور میری اہلیہ کی خوبیوں سے خوش ہیں۔
I consider myself blessed and favoured by a great sage like you, bestower of boons as you have been pleased with me, my brother and my life.
Humility before spiritual excellence: Rāma treats the sage’s approval as grace, not entitlement, aligning with dharma of modesty.
Rāma responds to Agastya’s welcome by expressing that the family is blessed to gain the sage’s satisfaction.
Gratitude and humility—Rāma acknowledges the sage’s moral-spiritual authority.
