Concept: Gifts should be given with deliberate care and sanctified by worship; what is received as ‘archita’ (ritually honored) should be reciprocated only with similarly honored offerings.
Application: Before donating or gifting, mentally dedicate it to Nārāyaṇa, offer a brief prayer, and give respectfully; when receiving sacred offerings (prasāda/dakṣiṇā), respond with gratitude and avoid casual or impure counter-gifts.

Sandhi Resolution Notes: दातव्यमतिक्रम्य = दातव्यम् + अतिक्रम्य; योर्चितं = यः + अर्चितम्; प्रतिगृह्णीयाद्दद्यादर्चितमेव = प्रतिगृह्णीयात् + दद्यात् + अर्चितम् + एव; सन्निधिम् is object of अतिक्रम्य (having bypassed the presence).
It stresses that giving should be done attentively and respectfully, not casually—implying proper intention, suitable recipient, and due honor in the act of giving.
It suggests an ethical reciprocity: one who accepts honored/worshipped offerings should respond by giving in a similarly honored manner—maintaining sanctity and respect in exchange.
Respectful intention and integrity in transactions: sacred or honored gifts should be handled with reverence, and one should uphold the same standard when giving in return.
