FAQs

It praises a particular practice or principle (specified by surrounding verses) as blessed, heaven-leading, auspicious, merit-producing, delightful, purifying, and ultimately the highest form of Dharma.

The repetition is a rhetorical eulogy (stuti) meant to strongly emphasize the excellence and multi-dimensional benefits—spiritual, ethical, and experiential—of the praised Dharma or act.

It teaches that the best Dharma is recognizable by its fruits: it promotes auspiciousness, generates merit, purifies the person, and elevates one toward higher spiritual states (symbolized by “svarga”).
