FAQs

It presents Vārāṇasī as a place containing “hidden” or esoteric Śiva-liṅgas whose full knowledge is not accessible through ordinary means, highlighting a sacred geography revealed through divine favor.

It states that knowledge of these guhyaliṅgas is possible only “through Śambhu’s grace,” implying that spiritual insight and access to sacred mysteries depend on Śiva’s favor rather than mere learning or travel.

The implied lesson is humility: sacred knowledge is not a possession earned solely by effort, but something received through devotion and divine grace—encouraging reverence toward Śiva and the sanctity of Vārāṇasī.
