Genealogy of the Ancestors (Pitṛs) and the Procedure of Śrāddha

पितृभ्यो निर्वपामीति सर्वं दक्षिणतो न्यसेत् । अभिघार्य ततः कुर्यान्निर्वापत्रयमग्रतः

pitṛbhyo nirvapāmīti sarvaṃ dakṣiṇato nyaset | abhighārya tataḥ kuryānnirvāpatrayamagrataḥ

یہ کہہ کر کہ “میں اسے پِتروں (اجداد) کو نذر کرتا ہوں”، سب کچھ جنوب کی سمت رکھے۔ پھر گھی کی آہوتی دے کر سامنے تین نِروَاپ نذرانے کرے۔
