भारताध्ययनं कार्यं पितॄणां परमप्रियं । भुक्तवत्सु च विप्रेषु भोज्यतोयादिकं नृप

bhāratādhyayanaṃ kāryaṃ pitṝṇāṃ paramapriyaṃ | bhuktavatsu ca vipreṣu bhojyatoyādikaṃ nṛpa

اے راجا، بھارت (مہابھارت) کا مطالعہ/پाठ کرنا چاہیے، کیونکہ یہ پِتروں (اجداد) کو نہایت محبوب ہے۔ اور جب برہمن کھا چکیں تو کھانا، پانی وغیرہ نذر کیا جائے تاکہ رسم کی تکمیل ہو۔
