Sandhi Resolution Notes: मातृमुखादेवं → मातृ-मुखात् एवम्; स्कंदस्तीर्थं → स्कन्दः तीर्थम्; त्रिभुवनस्थितं → त्रि-भुवन-स्थितम्
It presents the tīrtha as “tribhuvana-sthita”—renowned across the three worlds—suggesting that some pilgrimage sites are described not merely as local geography but as cosmically significant sacred spaces.
By highlighting immediate movement toward a tīrtha after receiving guidance, the verse reflects devotional responsiveness—acting promptly on sacred instruction and seeking sanctified places for spiritual merit.
The verse models śravaṇa (attentive listening) and prompt right action: after hearing wise counsel—especially from one’s mother—one should act decisively toward dharmic and spiritually beneficial aims.
