FAQs

It stresses durability and careful workmanship—using solid stone and deliberate effort—implying that sacred architecture should be stable, well-planned, and made with conscientious intent.

In Purāṇic ethics, sponsoring or building a maṇḍapa is treated as a dharmic act that supports worship, teaching, and communal rites; the verse frames it as a duty undertaken by the “wise.”

Do important, community-serving works thoroughly: apply “sarva-prayatna” (full effort) and ensure quality, rather than performing religious acts carelessly or superficially.
