Narrator (Purāṇic storyteller; specific speaker not explicit in this single verse excerpt)

Concept: Reality can be nested and paradoxical; the sage’s re-entry signals that perception is conditioned and that the cosmos is upheld within the divine.

Application: When life repeats patterns (‘re-entering the same womb’), treat it as a prompt for deeper discernment rather than despair; cultivate steadiness through mantra, study, and devotion.

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"Mārkaṇḍeya, small yet luminous, is drawn into a vast, lotus-like womb-chamber whose walls shimmer with constellations and sacrificial fires. FAQs

The verse explicitly names the sage Mārkaṇḍeya, describing his astonishment as he enters the womb again.

It highlights a wondrous, cyclical motif—re-entry into the womb—often used in Purāṇic narratives to underscore divine power, cosmic mystery, and the sage’s experiential awe.

The emphasis on “astonishment” (vismaya) suggests humility before realities beyond ordinary understanding, encouraging receptivity to transcendent teachings rather than pride in limited knowledge.
