भीष्म उवाच । केन कर्मविपाकेन प्रेतत्वं जायते पुनः । केन वात्र प्रमुच्येत तन्मे ब्रूहि महामते

بھیشم نے کہا: کس کرم کے وِپاک (نتیجے) سے آدمی پھر پریت (بھٹکتی روح) کی حالت کو پہنچتا ہے؟ اور کس وسیلے سے اس حالت سے رہائی ملتی ہے؟ اے عظیم خرد والے، مجھے یہ بتائیے۔
