अपीडाकारि यद्दानं तद्दानमिह दीयते । पीडाकारि च यद्दानं तद्दानं समलं स्मृतम्

جو عطیہ کسی پر مشقت نہ ڈالے، اسی طرح کا دان اس دنیا میں دینا چاہیے؛ مگر جو دان تکلیف پہنچائے، وہ دان آلودہ اور داغ دار صدقہ سمجھا جاتا ہے۔
