A
Agastya

FAQs

It frames the landscape as dotted with revered āśramas; Agastya’s hermitage is highlighted as a sanctified landmark, suggesting a sacred map anchored by rishis’ residences.

By portraying a rishi’s hermitage as “devasaṃmita” (divinely revered), it encourages reverence toward holy persons and places—an important devotional attitude even when explicit deity-worship is not stated.

The listener is urged to hear “ekamanā” (with single-pointed attention), teaching disciplined listening and respect for spiritual instruction and sanctified institutions like āśramas.
