Unspecified (context-dependent within Sṛṣṭikhaṇḍa Adhyaya 19)

Concept: Ritual life is upheld by shared household dharma: a wife’s supportive participation protects the Sāvitrī/sandhyā rite from fault and blesses the lineage.

Application: Support a partner’s daily spiritual practice (time, quiet, materials); treat shared routines as sacred; reduce blame and increase cooperation to ‘remove doṣa’ in family life.

Primary Rasa: shanta

Secondary Rasa: karuna

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"Inside a modest household shrine at dusk, a husband prepares for sandhyā—water vessel, kuśa grass, and a small lamp—while his wife quietly places the needed items and stands slightly behind with folded hands. The scene is intimate and reverent: the ‘removal of doṣa’ is shown as harmony, order, and shared intention rather than spectacle.","primary_figures":["Householder husband performing sandhyā","Wife assisting (saha-dharma-cāriṇī)","Family deity icon (Viṣṇu or a simple śālagrāma on altar)"],"setting":"Lamp-lit home shrine with tulasī pot optionally in courtyard (as a cultural backdrop, though not explicit in verse), clean floor, copper vessels, and a small window showing twilight sky.","lighting_mood":"temple lamp-lit","color_palette":["warm amber","copper brown","cream white","maroon","deep blue"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: domestic shrine scene—husband in sandhyā posture, wife offering a copper lota and arranging ritual items; gold-leaf accents on lamp flame and altar arch, rich maroons and greens in clothing, gem-like detailing on a small Viṣṇu/śālagrāma pedestal, ornate border emphasizing auspicious household dharma.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: tender interior at twilight with delicate brushwork; soft gradients of dusk through a window, refined expressions, detailed textiles and copper vessels; subtle calm conveying lineage-blessing through mutual support.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: iconic couple near a stylized altar, bold outlines and saturated pigments; lamp as central motif, symmetrical composition; large expressive eyes and temple-wall aesthetic highlighting dharma and harmony.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: household devotion rendered with ornate floral borders and lotus motifs; deep blues and gold; central altar with patterned textiles, rows of small lamps, and symbolic śaṅkha-cakra motifs in the border to frame sandhyā as Vaiṣṇava-aligned daily worship."}

Audio Atmosphere: {"recitation_mood":"devotional","suggested_raga":"Desh","pace":"slow-meditative","voice_tone":"reverent-soft","sound_elements":["single oil lamp crackle","soft bell","evening birds","low mantra (Gāyatrī)","quiet household stillness"]}

Sandhi Resolution Notes:

FAQs

It highlights Sandhyā-upāsanā (Sandhyā-vandana)—the daily twilight worship—and frames the wife’s supportive role as spiritually protective for the family line.

It refers broadly to a ritual fault connected with the Sāvitrī/Gāyatrī observance; the verse says such a defect does not arise for one whose household supports his Sandhyā worship.

It teaches gṛhastha-dharma: mutual support in daily sacred duties sustains spiritual discipline and is portrayed as safeguarding the family from ritual shortcomings.
