Concept: Darśana and saṅkalpa at holy places can catalyze immediate inner cleansing; grace operates swiftly when receptivity is present.

Application: Cultivate ‘darśana-bhāva’: when seeing rivers/temples, pause, offer a mental namaskāra, and resolve to abandon one harmful habit—linking outer tīrtha to inner reform.

FAQs

It names specific sacred locations—Tuṅgabhadrā (a river) and Cakrarathī (a tīrtha)—showing that the Padma Purāṇa maps holiness onto identifiable rivers and pilgrimage-sites.

By stressing darśana (reverent sight) as spiritually effective, it highlights devotional orientation: approaching sacred places with faith is presented as a direct purifier, even before elaborate ritual action.

The verse encourages ethical renewal: one should seek purification and reform by turning toward sacred influences (tīrthas), cultivating humility and the intention to abandon sinful conduct.
