FAQs

Kṣīra-sāgara is a cosmic sacred ocean associated with Viṣṇu and major divine consultations and interventions; it often functions as a locus where devas and sages seek divine resolution to crises.

It highlights that decisions affecting cosmic order are not only a matter for devas but are also guided by ṛṣis—custodians of dharma and ritual authority—who participate in seeking and validating the proper course.

The verse models responsive leadership: listening to counsel (especially from the righteous and learned) and then acting decisively for the welfare of the world, rather than acting from impulse or isolation.
