The Greatness of Hari’s Janmāṣṭamī (Jayantī) Vow
सोमेनैव भवेद्राजन्किंकृतैर्व्रतकोटिभिः । नवम्यामुदयात्किंचित्सोमे सापि बुधेऽपि च
somenaiva bhavedrājankiṃkṛtairvratakoṭibhiḥ | navamyāmudayātkiṃcitsome sāpi budhe'pi ca
اے راجن! صرف سوَم (چاند) ہی سے یہ کام بن جاتا ہے—کروڑوں ورتوں کی کیا حاجت؟ نوَمی کے طلوع سے آگے ذرا سا بھی پُنّیہ سوَم کے ذریعے ملتا ہے؛ اور وہی فائدہ بدھ (بدھوار) کو بھی حاصل ہوتا ہے۔
