FAQs

It teaches that steadfast truthfulness (satya) has salvific power: by living truthfully one benefits not only oneself but also uplifts one’s ancestors, ultimately leading to the supreme abode of Viṣṇu.

The verse links ethical virtue (satya) with both pitṛ-uplift and final attainment of Viṣṇu’s paramaṃ padam, presenting liberation as compatible with duties toward one’s lineage.

Truthfulness is presented as a transformative virtue that carries intergenerational merit—strengthening one’s dharma while guiding one toward the highest spiritual destination.
