It portrays a deva-associated “best of mountains” as a sacralized space where divine activity occurs and where contact/association is said to destroy sin and generate merit—typical of Purāṇic tīrtha-geography.
Indirectly: by presenting a divine locale as spiritually transformative (sin-destroying and welfare-giving), it supports devotional pilgrimage and reverent remembrance of sacred places as bhakti-adjacent practices.
Seek elevating environments and actions that reduce harmful karma (pāpa) and cultivate merit (puṇya); purity and “true welfare” are presented as attainable through association with the divine.
