kāverī tuṃgabhadrā ca yāstathānyāḥ samudragāḥ | tāsu snāyī naro yāti svargalokaṃ vikalmaṣaḥ || 30 ||
Narada
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It teaches the tirtha-mahātmya principle that bathing (snāna) in renowned sacred rivers—especially those that reach the ocean—purifies sin (kalmaṣa) and yields heavenly merit (svarga-prāpti).
Though it primarily praises tīrtha-snana, it supports bhakti indirectly by emphasizing purity and sacred practice; such purification is traditionally seen as preparing the devotee for higher worship and sustained Vishnu-bhakti.
Ritual practice (kalpa-oriented conduct) is implied: tīrtha-snāna as a dhārmic observance for purification and merit, even though no specific Vedāṅga (like Vyākaraṇa or Jyotiṣa) is explicitly discussed in this verse.
