Narada (teaching in a dialogue addressed to Devi, within the Uttara-Bhaga tirtha context)
Vrata: Grahana-snana (eclipse bath)
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It elevates eclipse-time (grahaṇa) bathing in the Gaṅgā as a powerful tirtha practice, stating that the concentrated spiritual merit equals an extended three-month regimen of sacred bathing.
While primarily a tirtha-ritual teaching, it supports bhakti by directing devotees toward sacred times and places where worshipful acts (like Gaṅgā-snāna) are considered especially fruitful and purifying.
Jyotiṣa (Vedic astronomy/astrology) is implied through the mention of lunar and solar eclipses and the months Phālguna and Āṣāḍha, showing how ritual timing (kāla) governs the expected spiritual result (phala).
