“اب میں اپنی مرضی سے روانہ ہوتا ہوں؛ میرا فرض میرا بیٹا ادا کرے۔” بادشاہ کے یہ کلمات سن کر وام دیو نے یوں فرمایا۔

It emphasizes dharma-continuity: even when a person withdraws or departs, the obligated duty (kṛtya) should not lapse but be carried forward through rightful succession—here, the son—showing that responsibility is preserved beyond personal preference.
Indirectly, it supports bhakti-life by insisting that worldly duties be properly entrusted rather than abandoned; orderly discharge of dharma becomes a stable foundation on which devotion and sacred observances in the Uttara-Bhāga (tīrtha/vrata contexts) can be practiced without negligence.
Vyākaraṇa-style precision appears in the injunctional verb “caret” (should do), reflecting dharma as a prescriptive rule; the verse also aligns with Dharmaśāstra reasoning on succession and delegated obligation (kṛtya) in rājadha rma.
