samarpaṇīyau viprāya vedavedāṃgaśāline | varṣe varṣe tataḥ paścādvidheyaṃ varṣapaṃcakam || 26 ||
انہیں وید اور ویدانگ میں ماہر برہمن کو نذر کرنا چاہیے۔ اس کے بعد سال بہ سال پانچ برس کی مقررہ ریاضت و انुष्ठان بجا لانا چاہیے۔
Suta (narrating the Purāṇic injunctions while conveying the teaching lineage associated with Nārada’s discourse)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It frames dāna (ritual offering) as spiritually effective when given to a qualified recipient—one grounded in Veda and Vedāṅga—and links it to sustained discipline through an annually repeated five-year observance.
By emphasizing regular, repeated observance and reverence for Vedic custodians, it supports bhakti as steady practice (niyama) expressed through respectful giving and continuity of sacred tradition.
The verse spotlights Vedāṅga competence as a marker of ritual reliability—especially Kalpa (ritual procedure) and Jyotiṣa (timing), supported by Śikṣā/Vyākaraṇa/Chandas/Nirukta for correct recitation and meaning.
