Saptamī-vrata-prakāśana
अनेन विधिना यस् कुरुते पुत्रसप्तमीः । लभते स तु सत्पुत्रं चिरायुषमनामयम् ॥ ६८ ॥
anena vidhinā yas kurute putrasaptamīḥ | labhate sa tu satputraṃ cirāyuṣamanāmayam || 68 ||
جو اس مقررہ طریقے کے مطابق پُتر سَپتمی کا ورت رکھتا ہے، وہ نیک بیٹا پاتا ہے—دیرپا عمر والا اور بیماری سے پاک۔
Narada (teaching the merit/phala of the vrata within the dialogue framework attributed to Narada’s instruction)
Vrata: Putra-saptamī
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It presents the phala-śruti (stated result) of a vrata: faithful observance of Putra-saptamī, done exactly as prescribed, is said to yield the blessing of righteous progeny along with health and longevity.
Bhakti here is expressed as disciplined devotional practice—performing a sacred observance with śraddhā and adherence to vidhi—where devotion is shown through ritual commitment and reverence for scriptural injunction.
It emphasizes kalpa/ritual method (vidhi) and vrata-phala logic: the efficacy is linked to correct procedure and timing of the observance, reflecting practical ritual discipline rather than grammar or astrology in this specific verse.
