Narada (instructional narration within a vrata-vidhi sequence, addressed to a dvija)
Vrata: Brahma-Gaurī-vrata
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It anchors a specific vow (Brahma-Gaurī Vrata) to an exact sacred time—Pauṣa śukla tṛtīyā—showing that dharmic results are pursued through disciplined observance aligned with the lunar calendar.
Bhakti here is expressed as regulated worship: the devotee honors the deity (Brahma-Gaurī) with the previously taught ritual method, emphasizing faithful adherence to prescribed pūjā as a form of devotion.
It highlights calendrical reckoning—tithi and month identification—closely tied to Vedāṅga Jyotiṣa, since the vow is to be performed precisely on Pauṣa bright-fortnight Tṛtīyā.
