suvarṇarajate netre pradadyācca dvijātaye | pūrṇayātrāvrate hyasmindadhnā vāpi ghṛtena ca || 5 ||
Narada (teaching in an instructional/dharma context)
Vrata: Pūrṇa-yātrā-vrata
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It frames vrata as incomplete without dāna: the vow (Pūrṇa-yātrā) is ‘made whole’ by gifting auspicious symbols (gold/silver eyes) and sattvic substances (curd or ghee) to a qualified dvija, converting personal observance into merit-bearing generosity.
Though primarily ritual-focused, it supports bhakti by emphasizing offering and service: devotion is expressed not only by inner intent but also by reverent giving that sustains sacred learning and worship through the dvija recipient.
Ritual procedure (kalpa-oriented practice) is implicit: it specifies concrete dāna items and eligible recipients (dvija), reflecting applied dharma-ritual rules rather than grammar or astrology.
