The Exposition of the Pratipadā Vrata for the Twelve Months

वह्निना दग्धपापस्तु विष्णुलोके महीयते । पौषशुक्लप्रतिपदि भानुमभ्यर्च्य भक्तितः ॥ ४० ॥

vahninā dagdhapāpastu viṣṇuloke mahīyate | pauṣaśuklapratipadi bhānumabhyarcya bhaktitaḥ || 40 ||

جس کے گناہ آگ سے جل کر بھسم ہو جائیں وہ وِشنولोक میں معزز ہوتا ہے۔ پَوش کے شُکل پکش کی پرتپدا کو بھکتی سے بھانو (سورج) کی پوجا کرنے سے یہی پُنّیہ حاصل ہوتا ہے۔
