It cautions that statements of “equality of all gods” must be read through Śruti: ultimate reality is Brahman, and apparent equality/difference among deities is understood via guṇa-based gradation, not by denying the Absolute.
By grounding devotion in Śruti and Brahman-tattva, it implies that bhakti should culminate in the Supreme (Brahman/Paramātman), while recognizing deities and their functions without confusion about the highest principle.
It highlights Śruti-pramāṇa (Vedic authority) and interpretive discipline—key to Vedāṅga-linked study (especially Vyākaraṇa and Mīmāṃsā-style hermeneutics) for reading ‘sāmya’ statements without contradicting Vedic doctrine.
