Matsya Purana — Śiva–Pārvatī Quarrel and Pārvatī’s Resolve for Austerity to Attain Gaurī-hood, Shloka 11

*शर्व उवाच अनात्मज्ञासि गिरिजे नाहं निन्दापरस्तव त्वद्भक्तिबुद्ध्या कृतवांस् तवाहं नामसंश्रयम् //

*śarva uvāca anātmajñāsi girije nāhaṃ nindāparastava tvadbhaktibuddhyā kṛtavāṃs tavāhaṃ nāmasaṃśrayam //

شَروَ نے کہا—اے گِرجا، تم میرے باطنی ارادے کو نہیں جانتیں۔ میں تمہاری مذمت کرنے والا نہیں؛ بلکہ تمہارے لیے بھکتی کی نیت سے ہی میں نے تمہارے نام کو پناہ بنایا ہے۔
