Adhyaya 92 — Devi’s Assurance of Protection and the Fruits of Reciting the Devi Mahatmyam
āghūrṇito vā vātena sthitaḥ pote mahārṇave | patatsu cāpi śastreṣu saṃgrāme bhṛśa-dāruṇe ||

The verse extends divine refuge to liminal spaces—sea journeys and battlefields—where human control is minimal, reinforcing the purāṇic ethic of remembrance (smaraṇa) amid instability.
Phalaśruti appended to the narrative; not a pancalakṣaṇa classification.
The ocean and storm evoke the mind’s turbulence; falling weapons evoke sharp vṛttis and painful experiences. Devi-remembrance is the steadying center that allows safe passage through inner ‘tempests’ and ‘combat.’
