पितरस्तु तयोर् मासं तस्मिन् रेतसि शेरते ।

गत्वा च योषितं श्राद्धे यो भुङ्क्ते यश्च गच्छति ॥

pitarastu tayormāsaṃ tasmin retasi śerate | gatvā ca yoṣitaṃ śrāddhe yo bhuṅkte yaśca gacchati ||

ان مرد و عورت دونوں کے پِتر ایک ماہ تک اسی منی میں پڑے رہتے ہیں۔ اور شرادھ کے باب میں—جو عورت کے پاس جائے، جو (اس کے بعد) کھائے، اور جو (اسی حالت میں) روانہ ہو—وہ سب عیب میں شریک سمجھے جاتے ہیں (جیسا کہ آگے واضح ہوگا)۔
