Adhyaya 23 — Ashvatara’s Vow for Madalasa and the Bestowal of Musical Science by Sarasvati
त्वमक्षरं परं देवि ! यत्र सर्वं प्रतिष्ठितम् ।
अक्षरं परमं देवि ! संस्थितं परमाणुवत् ॥
tvam akṣaraṃ paraṃ devi, yatra sarvaṃ pratiṣṭhitam | akṣaraṃ paramaṃ devi, saṃsthitaṃ paramāṇu-vat ||
اے دیوی، تو ہی پرم اَکشر (لازوال) ہے، جس میں سب کچھ قائم ہے۔ اے دیوی، تو ہی وہ اعلیٰ ترین اَکشر ہے جو ذرّے کی مانند لطیف، ہمہ گیر اور بنیاد کی صورت میں قائم ہے۔

The hymn asserts Devi as the ultimate ground of being—both transcendent (supreme Akṣara) and immanent (present even in the subtlest atom). Devotion is thus aligned with metaphysical insight: the world depends on the Goddess as its very support.
