Adhyaya 23 — Ashvatara’s Vow for Madalasa and the Bestowal of Musical Science by Sarasvati
अन्यमुत्फुल्लनयनं दृष्ट्या दृष्ट्येतिवादिनम् ।
परिष्वजन्तमन्योन्यमतिकौतूहलान्वितम् ॥
anyam utphulla-nayanaṃ dṛṣṭyā dṛṣṭyeti-vādinam | pariṣvajantam anyonyam ati-kautūhalānvitam ||
اس نے اور لوگوں کو بھی دیکھا جن کی آنکھیں پھیلی ہوئی تھیں؛ وہ کہتے تھے، “دیکھو! دیکھو!” اور ایک دوسرے کو گلے لگاتے ہوئے بڑے تجسس اور جوش سے بھرے تھے۔

Human communities naturally cohere around unexpected events; the Purāṇic narrative uses such scenes to ground extraordinary turns of fate in believable social behavior.
Ākhyāna/Upākhyāna (storytelling texture). It supports vaṃśānucarita if embedded in a royal/family chronicle, but is not itself a pancalakṣaṇa datum.
The repeated ‘Look!’ suggests the awakening of attention (smṛti/jñāna) before a decisive disclosure—an outward mirror of the inner ‘seeing’ that will soon become remorse and self-inquiry.
