देशकालेन संयुक्त युद्धं विजयदं भवेत्‌ । हीनकालं तदेवेह फलं न लभते पुनः । देशे काले च विक्रान्तं कल्याणाय विधीयते,देश और कालके अनुसार जो युद्ध किया जाता है, वह विजय देनेवाला होता है; किंतु जो अनुपयुक्त कालमें किया जाता है, वह युद्ध सफल नहीं होता। देश और कालके अनुसार किया हुआ पराक्रम ही कल्याणकारी होता है

Transliteration

deśakālena saṁyuktaṁ yuddhaṁ vijayadaṁ bhavet | hīnakālaṁ tadeveha phalaṁ na labhate punaḥ | deśe kāle ca vikrāntaṁ kalyāṇāya vidhīyate ||

Translation

کرِپا نے کہا—جو جنگ مقام اور زمانے کے مطابق کی جائے وہ فتح بخش ہوتی ہے؛ مگر وہی جنگ اگر ناموزوں وقت میں چھیڑی جائے تو پھر کوئی نتیجہ نہیں دیتی۔ مقام و زمانہ کو دیکھ کر دکھایا گیا پرَاکرم ہی بھلائی کا سبب بنتا ہے۔
