Dhaumya’s Counsel on Incognito Conduct in a Royal Household (राजवसतौ आचरण-निति)
यदेवानन्तरं कार्य तद् भवान् कर्तुमर्हति । तारणायास्य दुःखस्य प्रस्थानाय जयाय च,अब हमें इस दुःखसागरसे पार होने, यहाँसे प्रस्थान करने और विजय पानेके लिये जो कर्तव्य आवश्यक हो, उसे आप पूर्ण करें
yad evānantaraṁ kāryaṁ tad bhavān kartum arhati | tāraṇāyāsya duḥkhasya prasthānāya jayāya ca ||
اب اس کے بعد جو کام فوراً کرنا ضروری ہے، اسے انجام دینے کے لائق آپ ہی ہیں—تاکہ ہم اس دکھ سے پار اُتر جائیں، یہاں سے روانہ ہوں اور فتح حاصل کریں۔
युधिछिर उवाच
In moments of danger, dharma expresses itself as timely, competent action guided by the most capable person. The verse emphasizes urgency (anantaram), responsibility (kārya), and the ethical aim of relieving suffering while pursuing rightful success.
Yudhiṣṭhira, facing a pressing situation during the Virāṭa episode, appeals to a respected ally/counselor to take immediate charge of the necessary next steps so the group can escape distress, leave the place safely, and secure victory.
