जयद्रथ-निग्रहः — Jayadratha Restrained, Shamed, and Released
रोचते मे वच:ः कृत्स्नं ब्राह्मणानां न संशय: । रोचते यदि युष्माकं तस्मात् प्रब्रूत मा चिरम्
rocate me vacaḥ kṛtsnaṃ brāhmaṇānāṃ na saṃśayaḥ | rocate yadi yuṣmākaṃ tasmāt prabrūta mā ciram ||
اے عزیزو! ان برہمنوں کی ساری باتیں مجھے پوری طرح پسند ہیں—اس میں کوئی شک نہیں۔ اگر تمہیں بھی یہ بات پسند ہو تو دیر کیے بغیر اپنی رائے ظاہر کرو۔
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights ethical deliberation: when counsel from learned brāhmaṇas appears sound, one should acknowledge it clearly and invite timely, collective assent rather than prolonging indecision.
Vaiśaṃpāyana reports a moment of consultation: the speaker expresses full approval of the brāhmaṇas’ advice and urges the others to state their agreement (or view) promptly so a decision can be made.
