भद्रवटगमनम् — स्कन्देन महिषदानवनिग्रहः
Bhadravaṭa Procession and Skanda’s Neutralization of Mahiṣa
इन्होंने पुत्रकी प्राप्तिके लिये बहुत वर्षोतक तीव्र तपस्या की। इनकी तपस्याका उद्देश्य यह था कि हम ब्रह्माजीके समान यशस्वी और धर्मिष्ठ पुत्र प्राप्त करें ।।
mahāvyāhṛtibhir dhyātaḥ pañcabhis tais tadā tv atha | jajñe tejo mahārcīṣmān pañcavarṇaḥ prabhāvanaḥ ||
پھر وہ پانچ رشی—جو خود آگنی سوروپ تھے—پانچ مہاویاہرتیوں کے ذریعے پرماتما کا دھیان کرنے لگے۔ اسی وقت ان کے سامنے بے پناہ تیز سے درخشاں، عظیم شعلوں کی طرح بھڑکتا، پانچ رنگوں سے آراستہ اور غیر معمولی اثر و قوت والا ایک پُرش ظاہر ہوا—جو تخلیق کے کام پر قادر تھا۔
