अकार्यकरणाच्चापि भृशं मे व्यथितं मन: । तमुग्रतपसं विप्र॑ं निष्टनन्तं महीतले

Transliteration

akāryakaraṇāccāpi bhṛśaṁ me vyathitaṁ manaḥ | tam ugratapasaṁ vipraṁ niṣṭanantaṁ mahītale ||

Translation

جو کام نہیں کرنا چاہیے تھا وہ کر بیٹھنے کے سبب میرا دل سخت رنجیدہ ہوا۔ میں نے اس سخت ریاضت کرنے والے برہمن کو زمین پر پڑا کراہتے دیکھا—اور اپنے کیے ہوئے گناہ پر شدید ندامت نے مجھے آ لیا۔
