ततो मामब्रवीद् बाल: स पद्मनिभलोचन: । श्रीवत्सधारी द्युतिमान् वाक््यं श्रुतिसुखावहम्
tato mām abravīd bālaḥ sa padmanibhalocanaḥ | śrīvatsadhārī dyutimān vākyaṃ śrutisukhāvaham ||
پھر وہ نورانی لڑکا—کنول جیسے نینوں والا اور شریوتس کا نشان دھارے ہوئے—مجھ سے ایسے کلمات میں مخاطب ہوا جو سماعت کو خوشگوار تھے۔
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical power of speech: words that are gentle, pleasing, and well-formed create receptivity and auspiciousness, preparing the listener for counsel aligned with dharma.
Vaiśaṃpāyana narrates a transition where a radiant, lotus-eyed boy marked with Śrīvatsa begins to speak to the narrator, introducing an important statement delivered in a soothing and compelling manner.
