Kṛtayuga Description and Instruction on Royal Dharma
स्वप्रमाणमथो विप्र त्वया कृतमनेकश: । घोरेणाविश्य तपसा वेधसो निर्जितास्त्वया
svapramāṇam atho vipra tvayā kṛtam anekaśaḥ | ghoreṇāviśya tapasā vedhaso nirjitās tvayā ||
وَیشَمپایَن نے کہا—اے برہمن، جو کچھ آپ نے بارہا انجام دیا ہے اس کی دلیل آپ خود ہیں۔ سخت ریاضت میں داخل ہو کر آپ نے اپنے تپ کے زور سے سೃजन-شکتی رکھنے والے پرجاپتیوں کو بھی مغلوب کر لیا ہے۔
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse elevates tapas (disciplined austerity) as a force that can surpass even cosmic creative authorities; lived attainment becomes its own ‘proof’ (svapramāṇa), emphasizing experiential authority and self-mastery.
Vaiśampāyana praises a brāhmaṇa-sage, stating that the sage’s repeated accomplishments are self-evident and that through severe austerities he has overcome even the powers associated with the Creator and the progenitor figures (Prajāpatis).
