Kṛtayuga Description and Instruction on Royal Dharma
muhūrtād atha me dṛṣṭiḥ prādurbhūtā punar navā | yayā nirmuktam ātmānam apaśyaṁ labdhacetasam ||
The verse highlights an inner ethical-spiritual turning point: when delusion lifts, a renewed ‘vision’ (dṛṣṭi) arises, restoring mental steadiness and enabling one to recognize the self as free from भ्रम/मोह (delusion). It implies that right understanding is not merely intellectual but a recovery of consciousness that supports dharmic discernment.
The narrator-speaker, Vaiśampāyana, reports a sudden return of clarity after a brief interval. This renewed insight allows him to perceive himself as released from confusion and to feel fully conscious again, marking a transition from disorientation to composed awareness within the ongoing Vana Parva episode.
