परंतु उस महान् तेजस्वी वीरने क्षणभरमें ही मेरे उस ब्रह्मास्त्रको भी शान्त कर दिया। राजन! उस ब्रह्मास्त्रके नष्ट होनेपर मेरे मनमें महान् भय समा गया ।।
tato 'haṃ dhanur ādāya tathākṣayyau maheṣudhī | sahasābhyahanaṃ bhūtaṃ tāny apy astrāṇy abhakṣayat ||
پھر میں نے اپنا کمان اٹھایا اور بڑے تیروں سے بھرے اپنے دونوں اَکھوٹ ترکش لے کر اس عجیب ہستی پر جھپٹ پڑا اور پوری تیزی سے وار کرنے لگا؛ مگر اس نے اُن سب ہتھیاروں کو بھی گویا خوراک کی طرح نگل لیا۔ برہماستر کے بے اثر ہوتے ہی، اے راجن، میرے دل میں سخت خوف اُمڈ آیا۔
