Krishna’s Entry into the Royal Assembly
उभयो: साधयजन्नर्थमहमागत इत्युत । तत्र यत्नमहं कृत्वा गच्छेयं नृष्ववाच्यताम्
ubhayor sādhayann artham aham āgata ity uta | tatra yatnam ahaṁ kṛtvā gaccheyaṁ nṛṣu avācyatām ||
میں دونوں فریقوں کے جائز مفاد کو قائم کرنے کے لیے ہی یہاں آیا ہوں۔ اس معاملے میں پوری کوشش کر لینے کے بعد میں لوگوں میں ملامت کا نشانہ بن کر نہیں جاؤں گا۔
(वैशग्पायन उवाच
One should undertake mediation or public duty with sincere, complete effort aimed at fairness to all sides; moral accountability lies in earnest endeavor aligned with dharma, so that one is not justly blamed by society.
A speaker explains his purpose in coming as a mediator: to secure the interests of both parties. He adds that if he makes every possible effort in this task, he can leave with a clear conscience and without incurring public reproach.
