Educational Q&A

Complacent confidence rooted in adharma is self-deception: those who choose unjust enmity and ignore looming consequences are already ‘bound by Death.’ The verse underscores moral causality—wrong choices narrow one’s future until destruction becomes inevitable.

Sañjaya reports that after Bhīma and Sahadeva speak, Arjuna responds to Bhīma with a smile, declaring that the Kauravas—despite sitting at home feeling secure—have effectively doomed themselves by making Bhīma their enemy, as if already caught in Death’s snare.
